Tribute to Traffic of Makassar City: Tallo II Bridge Construction

At this event, there is an initial education to build awareness of the change in the traffic as two-way traffic with Tallo I bridge. The event is fully supported by the Government of Makassar, and was attended by the Mayor of Makassar Ramdhan Pomanto.
The construction of Tallo II bridge aims to unravel the bottlenecks that often occur on the direction of the port/Pettarani to the airport, and vice versa. The traffic jams due to the bottleneck. Currently, JTSE operates one bridge as Tallo I bridge, which served the movement in both directions. It made the accumulation of vehicles at rush hour.
JTSE is a strategic road linking the Sultan Hasanuddin airport with many major destinations, such as downtown of Makassar, Tallo bridge, and intersection of Mandai Makassar. There are 42 423 vehicles per day in 2015 through JTSE.
Anwar Toha, Director of JTSE, said that the construction of this Tallo II bridge will be a solution to break the bottleneck in the direction of the port/Pettarani to the airport, and vice versa.
General Manager Corporate Affairs of Nusantara Infrastructure Deden Rochmawaty said that Tallo II bridge construction as part of the Company's commitment to provide the maximum contribution for all stakeholders, especially the people of Makassar.
Tallo II bridge construction, with a length of 200 meters and a width of 18.4 meters, began in June 2015, and then planned to be completed in June 2016. Tallo II bridge is expected to be able to serve homecoming when Eid al-Fitr.
