Net Income Surges 167% in First Half of 2014, It Strengthens Nusantara Infrastructure’s Position to Enhance Investment in Infrastructure Sector

General Manager Corporate Affairs of Nusantara Infrastructure Deden Rochmawaty said stated that this positive financial performance is in line with the more solid business growth of the Company and its subsidiaries, as in the toll road, renewable energy, ports, water treatment, as well as the latest investment, especially in in telecommunications tower sector.
"This significant growth achievement in financial performance strenghtens the Company’s position to maintain the healthy business growth, as well as to develop the subsidiary and make further investments in infrastructure," said Deden, in Jakarta (18/9).
Deden added that in the first semester of 2014, Nusantara Infrastructure received additional new revenue from investing in telecom tower sector, amounting to Rp 58.34 billion, as a result of the acquisition of the telecommunications company in February 2014. Nusantara Infrastructure's EBITDA increased by 65% from Rp 88.92 billion to Rp 146.33 billion.
At the beginning of 2014, Nusantara Infrastructure entered the telecommunications tower management sector by acquiring majority shares of PT Komet Infra Nusantara (previously known as PT Tara Cell Intrabuana) through its subsidiary PT Telekom Infranusantara in early 2014. For the acquisition, Nusantara Infrastructure brought Providence Equity as a strategic partner. The positive corporate action strengthen the Company's assets by 41% from Rp 2.58 trillion to Rp 3.63 trillion in the first half of 2014.
PT Komet Infra Nusantara is an independent Indonesian telecommunication tower company that owns and operates the towers and other supporting facilities in Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, Dumai, and Riau.
Deden explained that in order to develop infrastructure in Indonesia, Nusantara Infrastructure is always looking for opportunities to expand and also open to forge alliances, both with local and multinational partners. Cooperation with CapAsia and Providence Equity will provide greater opportunities to Nusantara Infrastructure for admission to various potential infrastructure projects in Indonesia.
