Launch of Traffic Information System and Tallo Bridge II

​In an effort to overcome traffic congestion in Makassar, PT Bosowa Marga Nusantara (BMN) and PT Jalan Tol Seksi Empat (JTSE) developed a solution to break down the traffic of Makassar City through Traffic Information System, Tallo II Bridge construction and reconstruction of arterial road Ir. Sutami (frontage). On October 6, 2016 the event organized by PT BMN and PT JTSE, fully supported by the Government of Makassar City. TIS program was inaugurated by Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), Mr. Herry Trisaputra Zuna and Mayor of Makassar, Mr. Ramdhan Pomanto. While Tallo II Bridge, was inaugurated with the signing of an inscription by Mr. Ramdhan Pomanto.
 
TIS are an up-to-date and real time information platform that provides road users with information on the smoothness of traffic on and off-highways. Such information is delivered to the public through videotron screens or apps on smartphones. This first traffic information technology in Indonesia is expected to help road users in decision-making route selection, through toll roads or non-toll roads. In addition, TIS is also expected to be a solution in reducing congestion on the streets of Makassar City. In the future, videotron information services will be enhanced with wider coverage in strategic locations of Makassar City.
