BSD Toll: Waste Bank Program Socialization in Jombang Village

BSD Toll in collaboration with Yayasan Rumah Pelangi held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the benefits of establishing a Waste Bank in RW 13 of Jombang Village, Ciputat District, South Tangerang, on 29-30 November 2014.



The FGD addressed the use of organic waste to be turned into compost, and also the use of plastic (un-organic) waste, through the establishment of Waste Bank. The residential of RW 13 is located on the edge of the BSD toll roads, therefore the establishment of Waste Bank is expected to reduce waste disposal by residents in Right of Way (Daerah Milik Jalan -- DAMIJA) of BSD toll road.

Waste Bank program is Nusantara Care’s form of consistency in environmental management, sustainable improvement in environmental, and community development efforts according to the implementation of ISO 14001.
