Waste Bank Inauguration in BSD Toll

BSD Toll inaugurates the “Kampung Hijau Nusantara Bank Sampah” (Waste Bank Nusantara Green Village) on June 15, 2015.

The inauguration was attended by the Mayor of South Tangerang, Mrs. Airin Rachmi Diany, along with the Head of Health and Cemetery of South Tangerang, also representatives from Unilever Indonesia Foundation.

One of efforts to maintain the sustainability of nature is maintaining the preservation of nature and the environment, especially around the toll road. Waste Bank program is one of the Company's efforts to urge people (the residents around the toll road) in protecting the environment in order to stay clean and comfortable.
RW 13 of Jombang, Ciputat, be the first location of Waste Bank initiated by the management of BSD Toll. There are 250 householders who got training in sorting waste and to raise awareness in sewage treatment wisely.

Currently 40 people in RW 13 of Jombang have been registered as Waste Bank members. Since starting its operation, the Waste Bank has been collecting as 2 tons of garbage bins. In its operations, the program is assisted by Yayasan Rumah Pelangi Foundation and fully supported by Unilever Indonesia Foundation.
