Recorded Positive Performance Achievement and Business Performance in 2022, the Revenue of PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk Increased by 24.3%

Jakarta, April 6th 2023– Throughout 2022, the performance of PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (Perseroan) with a code of META run well with positive performance records in all of its business sectors in toll road, renewable energy, and clean water. Based on the Consolidated Financial Statements of the Company and its Subsidiaries for the Fiscal Year ended on 31 December 2022, the Company’s Business Revenue and Sales (excluding construction revenue) increased by 24.3% to Rp838.4 billion from Rp675.1 billion in 2021. The increase was supported by the toll road sector contributing growth of 32.7% from Rp439.3 billion to Rp582.8 billion. Meanwhile, the renewable energy sector had an increase of 10.1% from Rp155.6 billion to Rp171.3 billion, and the clean water sector grew 2.6% from Rp66.6 billion to Rp68.4 billion.
The Company’s Business Profit in 2022 recorded Rp278.2 billion or 84.5% higher than in 2021, Rp150.8 billion with a 33.2% margin (Note: Margin calculation was taken from the Company’s total Business Revenue and Sales (including Other Business Revenues item)). The Company’s EBITDA also recorded Rp372.6 billion or increased by 41.3% compared to the previous year, Rp263.7 billion. Meanwhile, the Company’s current profit increase in 2022 from Rp96.7 billion to Rp122.5 billion was due to the increase in people’s economic activities and social distancing relief specifically in Jakarta and Makassar, which had an implication on the revenue increase indicated by the escalation in toll road traffic and also enhancement of sales volume in renewable energy and clean water sectors.

Pertiwi, the Head of Corporate Communication & CSR of PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk, said, “The Company is consistently maintaining its positive business achievement and performance throughout 2022 despite the dynamic external situation. The toll road sector still provides the biggest contribution to the company’s revenue, followed by renewable energy and clean water sectors. To support the company’s achievement stability and performance, during 2022 the Management optimized the implementation of growth strategy through partnership and maintaining cash flow in relation with OPEX & maintenance cost”.
The implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) also became the company’s main focus in running business to keep the Company’s performance stable. Currently, the Company is still focusing on investment in the quality strategic infrastructure sector by encouraging security, and the environment through 3 (three) principles namely, mobility, access, and connectivity.
The Company successfully closed 2022 by completing all processes of buying 40% shares of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (PT JIC), the subsidiary of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk that managed Mohamed Bin Zayed overpass (MBZ). This strategic corporate action is concrete evidence of good synergy between the government and private entities in line with the spirit of Indonesia Incorporated desired, which can improve the company’s asset value to Rp11.1 trillion in 2022 compared to Rp6.6 trillion in 2021 or increased by 69.3%.
