Jakarta, 7th October 2022 – PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (IDX: META/Perseroan), an integrated infrastructure company had received the approval from its shareholders today (7/10) regarding the acquisition plan that would be conducted by its subsidiary, PT Marga Utama Nusantara (MUN), for taking over 40% of the share ownership of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC), a subsidiary of Jasa Marga which manages the Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated Jalan Tol Layang Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ Toll Road).
 
Ramdani Basri, President Director of PT Nusantara Infrastructure stated, “This corporate action is one of the business strategies to strengthen our portfolio in the toll road sector”. This step is also aligned with the Government’s program to encourage sustainable regional infrastructure growth, by participating and contributing in creating connectivity between regions.
 
MBZ Toll Road is the longest elevated toll road in Indonesia and is Indonesia’s first double decker motorway as it is built above the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. “We consider the MBZ Toll Road as a strategic project with the prospects of heavy traffic, so it is aligned with the Company’s investment target, and is expected to contribute positively to future financial performance” said Ramdani.
 
The 40% stake, which is planned to be acquired, is equivalent to Rp4.38 trillion (USD $280.514.034). The Company continues to be strongly committed to always applying the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in every corporate action taken.
 
 
For information, at the 4th quarter of 2022, PT Nusantara Infrastructure will continue on several other ongoing projects, such as the construction of the toll road access from/to Makassar New Port (MNP) up to ±2,2 km (ramp) which connects the Old Port (Pelabuhan Lama) and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport to Makassar New Port. Not only that, the Company is also continuing the tender process for the Cikunir-Ulujami Elevated Toll Road, which is currently still in the tender evaluation stage.
