Indah D.P. Pertiwi, Head of Corporate Communication & CSR of PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk, highlighted the increasingly important role of women as road users and their potential to influence more responsible driving behavior. “She Drives Change reflects our commitment to fostering a driving culture that prioritizes safety, comfort, and sustainability. The program is designed to be inclusive, providing opportunities for participants from diverse backgrounds, including persons with disabilities, to actively take part in shaping safer roads. ”Through this initiative, the Company aims to promote more responsible and environmentally sustainable driving practices, while contributing to reduced accident rates and expanding access to road safety education across a wider range of communities, particularly women.
Data from BSD Toll Road indicates a consistent decline in accident rates in recent years. In 2025, incidents decreased by 35 percent compared to the previous year, with a total of 34 cases recorded. Notably, 86 percent of accidents were attributed to human factors, while the remaining 14 percent were linked to vehicle conditions, reinforcing the importance of behavioral awareness as a critical component of road safety.
Participants received a comprehensive learning experience covering both eco driving and safety driving principles, along with practical insights into safe and efficient toll road usage. The sessions were delivered by representatives from BSD Toll Road, the Ministry of Transportation, the BSD Highway Patrol Unit, and certified instructors. The program also featured hands on driving sessions, enabling participants to build confidence and apply best practices in real world conditions.
By integrating safety, sustainability, and inclusivity, She Drives Change is envisioned as more than a training program. It represents a scalable model for community-based education that contributes to a safer, more efficient, and more equitable transportation ecosystem.
“Road safety is not solely defined by infrastructure, but by the awareness and behavior of those who use it. By empowering women as agents of change, we aim to create a ripple effect that extends beyond this program and into the wider community,” Indah concluded.
