The strategic project in Eastern Indonesia, Makassar New Port Toll Access Road, has passed the Provisional Hand Over (PHO) stage or commonly known as the handover of all work carried out by the service provider to the project owner. The event was held at the WIKA project office which was attended by the Directors of PT Bintaro Serpong Damai (BSD), PT Makassar Metro Network (MMN), PT Jalan Tol Seksi Empat (JTSE) and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk as contractors, JO Indokoei International - Nippon Koei - Cipta Strada Supervision Consultants, and PT Virama Karya PMI Consultants.
Prior to the signing session, the event began with the submission of a report by Purwoto as the President Director of BSD and Hermawan Dhewayanto as Senior Vice President-Infrastructure 2 Division of WIKA, followed by a field visit. The existence of the Makassar New Port Toll Access Road is expected to facilitate export and import routes through the port that connects the Eastern Gate of Indonesia, Makassar with other cities in South Sulawesi and surrounding provinces. This road is also a solution in unraveling congestion for freight or logistics transportation with direct access to and from Makassar New Port.
