PT Inpola Meka Energi (IME) as the operator and management of Lau Gunung Hydro Power Plant (PLTA) received financing facility amounting Rp375 billion based on sharia principles under Musyarakah Mutanaqisah (MMQ) financing scheme from PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) (SMI), a State- Owned Enterprises (BUMN) engages in infrastructure financing under the Ministry of Finance. The signing was carried out by the Directors of IME and SMI in Jakarta.

In the agreement, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk acts as the escrow agent. Lau Gunung hydropower plant serves around 10,000 people in Dairi and Karo regencies through PLN electricity network. Lau Gunung hydropower plant supports daily activities of the community in education, economy, industry, and other activities by distributing electricity to various places in North Sumatra.
