Dr. John Scott Younger, OBE, FICE is an international infrastructure development and sustainable development expert, carrying out management work in various roles as consultant, adviser and academic scholar with 36 years' experience across South Asia and South East Asia, specializing in highways, water, hydro and thermal power, ports and mining. He has been actively involved in many infrastructure projects with wide portfolio covering ten countries in Asia, much of his work associated with an international leading lending agencies.
For the past two decades he has been a lead commentator and writer on infrastructure matters, and is a regular contributor to regional business magazines. He has also served many years on the boards of either the British or European Chambers of Commerce, and is Senior Vice – Chairman of The International Business Chamber. He was appointed OBE in 2003 for services to British Business and Civil Engineering. In 2011, he was appointed Honorary Research Fellow of Glasgow University, his first almamater and is gratified to see this well founded institution with long pedigree taking an active interest in Indonesia’s development.
He joined PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk in 2006, originally in a more advisory role, but is pleased now to be playing a bigger part in helping the Company achieve its inspiring targets.
