Power Plant Construction for Bukit Asam Subsidiary Starts

Ground breaking of power generator for subsidiary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) with a capacity of 2x110 megawatts, is officially started on Friday. The generator is scheduled to operate fully by 2014.
In the press release, PT Bukit Asam controls 59.75 percent stake in PT Bukit Pembangkit Innovative, which already pocketed a thirty-year contract to sell power to the State Power Company at US$ 5.57 cent per kWh. The Rp 2.7 trillion steam-powered project is funded by a financial syndicate chaired by PT Bank BNI Tbk (BBNI).
