The local unit of Anglo-Dutch Shell plans to invest $90-100 million to build a lube oil plant in Indonesia with a capacity of 100,000 mt/year, a senior official said Friday.

"We will sell the product to Indonesia as well as export the lube oil production to China, Vietnam and India," president director of Shell Indonesia Darwin Silalahi said.

The plant construction is expected to be started this year, with completion in 2013-14, Silalahi added.

The government may provide some incentives for Shell toward the plant construction, Industry Minister MS Hidayat said separately.
