Purbalingga Prioritizes Infrastructure

Tempo Interactive, Purbalingga - 22/11/2010

The 2011 Purbalingga Regional Budget will focus on infrastructure. To support this priority, this year Purbalingga will not recruit civil servants because the funds will be used for infrastructure development, said Purbalingga regent Heru Sudjatmoko yesterday.

Heru said damaged roads spread around 18 sub-districts will be the main priority for the repairs. Later, streetlights, bridge repairs, and irrigations will be organized.

Futhermore, Heru said all office chiefs running the project must work in a professional manner. According to Heru, regents will not warn project managers or partners if there are things that are not carried out as regulated. “Instead, the office chief will be warned and asked for his accountability,” he said.

Heru called on office chiefs to act firmly with their business partners and project managers who are not keeping with the project specifications as agreed earlier.
