Indonesia Finance Today - 26/07/2012

The government of Spain will supply steel framework worth a total of  € 24.8 million for the development and revitalization of bridges in Indonesia until 2015. The steel framework will be coursed through Centunion Espanola de Coordinacion Tecnica  Financiera.

Djoko Murjanto, Director General of Toll Roads at the Ministry of Public Works, said the projects prioritized to receive the supply are those mentioned in the Indonesian-Spanish Financial Cooperation Programme 2011.
The 780-day contract (410 days for shipment and 360 days for services) will see the supply of 69 units with the total length reaching 3,475 meters.

“The supply will be allocated for 69 bridges, comprising construction and revitalization project. We are currently identifying the locations of the projects,” Djoko said. The cooperation will include engineering design, manual, training and other technical assistances.

“We are in the process of signing the loan agreement. We will attempt to accelerate [the signing] to make the contract more effective as the need for the steel framework is urgent. Some bridges need revitalization,” he said.
Djoko hopes the signing can be realized before December 2012, so that shipment can be realized in early 2013. He revealed that the bridges that will receive the framework will be those below 60 meters in length.
