On May 8, 2014, NI through its subsidiary: PT Margautama Nusantara (MUN) was ready to build Traffic Information System (TIS) in Makassar. The development of the TIS was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Mayor of Makassar Moh. Ramdhan Pomanto with several corporations, including MUN, Telkom Indonesia, Microsoft, BRI, and BTN, at Hotel Aryaduta Makassar, in line with the launching of the city of Makassar as a Smart City.

TIS -which is built outside of the toll area- is the first implementation service in Makassar, even in Indonesia. The purpose is to provide integrated information to the public of Makassar about the density of traffic conditions, both inside and outside of the toll road. The traffic density will be displayed on the screen that will be placed on Nusantara street, Maros, and Pettarani, so that road users can see in real-time the situations. The screen will also automatically display the traffic conditions captured by CCTV cameras installed at some points on the roads of Makassar.
